OUR HISTORY
It all started back in 1975: fifteen gentlemen were graduated with a Diploma in Personnel Management. The Graduation Ceremony was held at the Octave Wiehe Auditorium on the 22nd October in presence of H.R.H. Princess Alexandra, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mauritius, The Honourable Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, Prime Minister, and all the dignitaries of the University.
The Diploma in Personnel Management was the first D.P.M to be awarded by the School of Law and Administration of the U.o.M. Professor Donal Ah-Chuen was then the Dean of that School.

The proposal was unanimously adopted and that gave rise to a series of lunches, dinners, BBQs at various beautiful corners and places of the island to work out the Memorandum of Articles of Association that was to be registered in early 1976 under the name of The Association of Personnel Managers, which is now the Association of Human Resource Professionals of Mauritius!!!
